Miranda Kirr by Russell James

I came across this editorial on Calikartel. It is a shoot based on the super model Miranda Kirr. One of the comments about this shoot was 'what makes it special other than that it's a shoot of Miranda Kirr?'. I was thinking along the similar lines but had to remind my self that photography isn't just about the technique of the photo, it's also the story and the emotion behind the shot. This shot clearly shows a great report that Russell has built up with Mirranda to get these relaxed and comfortable images. The question still remains whether it would run if it wasn't a known model?
