Executive Summary
In a concerted effort to raise my profile as a fashion photographer I will be focusing my work around a series of editorial submissions made to a number of fashion magazines.
My intent is to shoot and submit three editorials for submission into three different magazines. These will be shot with the publications needs in mind and taking into account the current fashion trends.
I will submit a minimum of 20 images for display by the 22 November 2011. These images will be displayed as a full editorial shoot including layout relevant to its intended publication. Images will be presented at the publications native size on stock that represents its intended publications stock.
Please see the remainder of this document for greater detail on all aspects of this photographic job.

Editorial shoot outline
I will shoot three editorials based on real magazine submission briefs. As I have only had one submission brief to date I will post further information on future submission briefs as they come to light.
One editorial submission brief that I have acted on is a brief from a new magazine named ‘Stray’. The submission guidelines are as follows;

With this brief, I teamed up with a group of like-minded creative artists to formulate an editorial shoot that captured Stray’s intent.
We chose to work on a submission based around the ‘Smoke and Mirrors’ theme and focused our efforts on shooting an inspirational and creative editorial using a literal translation of the theme.
Below shows one of the images shot for this editorial.
The remaining two editorials I will shoot will utilise the same approach to their creation, taking in account the publications needs and target audience.
I have chosen a couple magazines which I have approached for consideration. These two magazines, ‘Kurv’ and ‘Frankie’, share a similar style, with each magazine showcasing fashion, beauty and culture. Kurv has three editions annually and is printed with a gloss finish. Frankie is a bi-monthly publication printed with a matt finish.
I will post the submission briefs on my blog as they become available.
